                               Nursery Fields

       25/07/2010

A good turn out of 22 people on a nice sunny day at Nursery Fields, as normal Nursery responded the same way to pressure as it normally does when you put alot of people on the pegs.

The fish shut down and ran behind the reeds on the far bank and stayed there pretty much all day, with one or two pegs producing where there was access to bare bank, later on in the afternoon, one or two were cruising on the surface but did not seem that interested in feeding

The pegs on the far side fished quite well, Danny Wynn on peg 13 used the method, Danny came out with the club for the first time and had a weigh of 146-05-00.

Second place was John Gore with a weigh of 62-08-00 on peg 5 using the method, this was a first for me I have never seen a angler actually talk fish into his swim, John never had a bite until one o'clock and duly told anybody within ear shot.

Graham Roffery came third with 52-00-00 on peg 12 fishing the method

Not a bad day at Nursery just a shame that not all the pegs fished.

Danny Wynn 146-05-00

John Gore 62-08-00

Graham Roffery   52-00-00

             Chittenden   4/07/2010

Twenty anglers turned out for this match on a very sunny day, there was a slight breeze which made fishing conditions quite comfortable.

The hot weather over the last two weeks had put the carp into sunbathing mode and they were not at all that interested in feeding.  The anglers that did catch fish were the individuals that had tried many other methods first, speaking of the method it was not catching as many fish as normal, many of us found ourselves on poles down the margins or trying to catch fish on the pellet waggler.  The anglers that did in fact get it right were Colin Wood for 79-08-00, Harvey Fennel for 70-08-00 and Nick Costar (that's bag up to you) with 69-00-00.

Pellet did catch some fish, also dead maggots worked for some on the method feeder, but all in all it was a nice day, even if the weights were not huge.

Colin Wood 79-08-00 1st place.
